In Canada our Thanksgiving is on the 2nd Monday of October which is the 12th this year (next Monday.)  My sister in law (my wife's one and only sister) is at our place for the month & she loves to bake sooooooo .....  here are more pies (I've posted some in the past on this Forum); one is already cooked (pumpkin) & the 2nd one (apple) is being prepared.

I'm told there's a third one coming

BTW the apples are from apple trees down the road from where we live.  The owner of the house told us a few days ago to take as many as we wanted (two bags full = fresh apples.)

That looks fantastic! I really like rustic looking crust. Maybe if there are excess apples, she could make apple cake or tart. Sometime nice that goes well with a cup of coffee. I'm a big fan of pumpkin pie too.

The end result of the pie being prepared in the prior pictures.  I've offered my sister in law to extend her stay with us.
