Im curious if you can bypass the MS software and use itunes with the zune? I have over 2k songs and it would make or break the Zune if i can/cant bring all those songs on the Zune...

I think that the idea is that Microsoft are attempting to lock the player and software together in the same way that Apple did with the iPod + iTunes. I'm sure that some people will eventually work out how to get music on/off of the the Zune without using the software but I wouldn't expect it for a good few months at least.

Of course reading some initial responses of people using the Zune it's actually hard to get music onto the device using the actual software at the moment! lol
