I prefer a DIY kit so I have the option of modding or subbing components.

I've spent a lot of time browsing kits on AE and am left with mostly confusion. It seems some don't include the needed USB daughter board or actual decoder chip which, combined with the terrible descriptions, makes any purchase a potential headache I don't need. So I'm asking here if there any good price to performance kits that include everything needed?

The ODAC is not much of a "kit." The PCB is already populated, save for the output connector. Plus, it's case-less.
