This is the famous wall at Toronto's Bay Bloor Radio. Everything's tiny but can you recognize any of the headphones?

The top ones look like grados. The ones below (2nd + 3rd rows) appear to be senns. The 4th and 5th rows might be sonys. But I really really can't tell that well.

The forth line are IMO Sony's (the first in this line is the V700DJ, or looks like it) and the last line looks like Ultrasone's or Behringers, or maybe Beyers....

Heh, I see you've been there before.

The display actually isn't quite as good as it appears. It's great for Sennheiser and Grado but it doesn't offer much else. No AKG, no Beyerdynamic, no Shure, no Ety, no Ultimate Ears, and no Stax.

They just have the main Grado line (SR60 through RS1) various Senns (they're missing a few), various Sony's (Mainly the V*00 line. No R10/CD3K and I don't remember about the V6/7506), some Panasonics and Bose (BBR really seems to promote Bose equipment for some reason.)

Actually, when I went they had 271 and 240s in AKG. That was the first place I had ever heard any high-end headphones. I refuse to buy any there, but it was a decent place to do some listening.

It really is amazing how expensive BBR is because they hold a monopoly on the high end headphone market in Toronto.

For example, here are the prices (with USD equivalent) of 6 headphones listed in their lastest flyer:

SR60 - $120 = $102 US
SR325i - $400 = $339 US
RS2 - $700 = $592 US

HD280 - $150 = $127 US
HD555 - $200 = $169 US
HD650 - $650 = $550 US

Here, Here! Such a bunch of snooty, patronizing (*&)! I'll never buy there simply b/c of the way they treat you there if you don't wear an Armani suit...

There is only a4audio that sell at US price in US dollars. Beside them every canadian shop grado are about this price.

Yeah, this is why I always buy from US shops.
Even taking into consideration shipping and such, it usually always works out cheaper and I find the service better.
I can't stand BBR. It's just a snobshop IMO.

I don't mind businesses making money but when they are making upwards of 200% I'll take my money elsewhere.

BBR and the rest suck!

They don't have the 325i's on display, but if you ask nicely, they will get a pair from the back and let you listen to them

Also, if you ask politely, you can get a discount (10%) and some other goodies (1/4' to 1/8" adapter and flat pads).
Thats a nice store with really cool employees, thats why I bought my 325i's from there.
