I'm planning to buy Fiio E7 to use with my iPhone and desktop. In my understanding the line out doesn't skip the internal DAC of it. But can we use camera connection kit to get digital out from iPhione/iPod?

Otherwise what's the best workaround to get digital out from iOS devices?

Sadly not, the camera connection kit only works when combining iPad with certain DACs, there's a list specifying these compatible DACs but none works with the iPhone, it just says "accessory not supported" or something like that. It's too bad...
