From what I see the Modi Multibit is being used as Dac pro Jotunheim, but what about the other devices, they are being used for, maybe in other equipment or to improve the sound of Jotunheim? What do you think ?

Mother of God that looks horrendous. I call that unsightly overkill. If somebody is going to mangle their setup to that degree then they're better off saving the money and just getting a better amp rather than all that stuff. This seems like the product of somebody with extra money and the mindset of "stock power cables are crap and I can hear the difference with aftermarket power cables". Ugh

I see a Sonore microRendu network player, Singxer F-1 USB audio bridge, and (what appears to be) an iFi iPurifier 2. (Google those to learn about what they do.)

I don't recognize the black device on the left.

If somebody is going to mangle their setup to that degree then they're better off saving the money and just getting a better amp rather than all that stuff.

These devices are for the purpose of superior sound quality with whatever system you have. They do things that an amp cannot. Countless audiophiles are impressed by them.

Perhaps consider researching (and preferably using) something before bashing it.

These links are worth checking out:

For the network player.

It looks like all that schiit connected to the Mimby is related to USB "purification". The Singxer is some sort of USB>Coax adapter which goes from computer towards the Mimby, through another adapter which seems to have external power applied to it. Idk what that Ethernet device is, but that blue cable seems to be HDMI so I have no idea what that's for. All of the silly stuff looks like it's to purify the digital signal coming from the computer and into the Mimby, because the Mimby has simple RCA going into the Jot with no funny business in between. Even if it did improve quality the tiniest bit (which honestly would be the best case scenario), all that gear is expensive and the money could have been spent on a better amp. Seems pointless to me unless he knows the Jot is endgame for him and wants to deck it out because he won't upgrade. It's a more extreme version of me buying the overpriced carbon fiber headband for the LCD2 because I know it's endgame for me and I just want that extra bit of comfort

USB out of microRendu (powered by Uptone LPS-1) to Singxer F-1. Coax S/PDIF from F-1 to iFi SPDIF iPurifier, which is plugged into Schiit Modi Multibit's S/PDIF input. Output to Schiit Jotunheim headphone amp, driving Sennheiser HD-800 headphones (balanced).

Read my edited post and the information on the links I provided.

Network players like the microRendu are often used with ultra-high-end audiophile systems and do things an amp never could. They are heralded for significantly improving the sound.

Doesn't matter, it has the external PSU. Why is there another USB cable on the Purifier?

The iPurifier has a reclocker. I'm pretty sure that power isn't for the DAC but the for the reclocking circuit on the iPurifier.

Either way, that thing is a mess... and an absolutely abysmal job of budget allocation if you ask me...
