My 2014 MacBook Pro finally gave up so I changed to a PC laptop (nothing fancy).
To my suprise the sound changed dramatically; more detail, hotter treble and less warm i general. Everything sound better to my ears and the change is not subjective.
Chain: Tidal>standard USB cable>gungir MB gen5>Feliks Euforia>Verite Open

I double checked that the Gungir is running the show on both computers. Can anyone explain the reason why the change in SQ is so big? All i did was to change computer Mac>PC.

In Windows go to sound settings and check disable windows enhancements which could be changing things. It's the first thing I'd check if it sounds different. Your computer probably came loaded with onboard sound software. I'd add/remove programs for it and Windows does a good job of handling sound drivers. There's probably 16 preloaded apps you'll never use on the list worth getting rid of. Windows Defender is a really good antivirus, no sense in paying for the bloatware version they always tack on.
