I often hear users on this forum speaking of "highs" "mids" "treble" and "lows" to describe various sound signatures. This is thrown around as basic terminology yet I have no idea as to what they mean. If someone could simply describe how each sounds (or better yet, give me some examples of songs that go with each of them) I'd really appreciate it!

Here is a glossary that should be useful as a reference until you get acquainted with the terminology.

All of the terms you stated refer to frequencies with treble being the highest, bass the lowest, and mids in the middle. Hope this helps
