Hi, new to this forum
 
I'm currently using a HD 205-ii. Ok satisifed I guess, not an audiophile or anything like that, and have an amp (Fiio E5) and E3 LOD cable on the way from Amazon.
 
Anyway, I want to upgrade my headphones to something better, just to see what I'm missing, and if I can hear the difference. I was thinking about the HD439, but then I saw this used HD555 for 50$. Isn't it too cheap? Could it be a fake model?

The HD555 were selling for about $75 just before the release of the HD558/598. It's not that farfetched a price.
 
Also haven't heard of any HD5XX/HD6XX fakes being made.
