Hello all,

Looking for an amp better than what I currently have. I.e. better resolution and detail while retaining full bodied and sonorous sound. I have upgraded the LD with 6sn7 output and Siemens EF92 driver tubes. HD600 and DT880/600 ohm phones. Can be SS or tube or hybrid.

Budget $350.

Impossible?

Xduoo TA-26? It worked for me 😁
I had a LD mkII with no upgrades besides better tunes, so YMMV...

Hello,
In the tube sector, the most you could do is the Darkvoice or even the Bottlehead crack.
But with the budget, it will be tighter on the tube basis.
Hybrid amplifiers would be the Little Dot 1+ or Xudoo Mt04.

SS amplifier, the choice would be bigger and better.
Lake People G103S,Ify Zen Dac with Sennheiser tuning would be roughly my favourite.
And whatever else is floating around in the Chifi amp market.
But not a personal fan of them.

For tube amps you'll have to increase the budget if you want to stay there.

Hello,
To be honest, I don't think Thx has any place in headphones.
The technology was originally based for films and the like.
I had the Smsl Sp200 once and found it too static, without love, cold and no fun.

You will want to change again quite quickly.
A lot of people did that when the hype train was over.

Danke sehr, Deleeh! Can you recommend anything for great detail, resolution and 3D for up to $350/300 Euros?

DV 336SE has its problems, the most obvious being the hum. It requires some mod to become usable (for me anyway).
-- DC filament supply conversion for the input tube (output tube supply can remain AC)
-- output capacitor changed to something like AuriCap XO 33uf/160v (small enough to fit into the case)

or maybe just upgrade the components in the LD MK2.... there are four 0.22uf signal capacitors, change them will improve the sound. You can also upgrade the output capacitors if there is enough space.

circuit info can be found in this thread:
