Can IEMs be as good as over-ear headphones?

Chi Fi are chinese headphones? I don’t know what that means exactly

It can be anything made in China, but typically it’s Chinese IEMs.

I recommend staying with a known brand name over Chi-Fi, for better build and improved quality control.

I have the predecessors to both of the above. Which I prefer depends on the source and music. You won't go wrong with either. They are excellent for the price, both in sonics and build quality. I did replace the silicone ear pieces on the Senns with memory foam because the supplied silicone weren't a perfect match for my ears.

One thing is ChiFi is not always reliable quality. At times a brand can get a reputation for not having the best quality control. The worst for me though has only been a bad detachable cable.

Imo, in some ways yes, in some ways no and it really depends what you're looking for in your sound. I'm also not a professional or expert here, this is just what makes sense to me so please feel free to correct!

Over-ears provide a more realistic rendition of soundstage and imaging simply because they interact with the outer ear whereas IEMs don't. In theory, this may provide a more convincing sense of distance and localisation and some would also argue that they often sound more natural in timbre as the sound is delivered to the ear similarly to a live sound. That said, IEMs have been getting very good here in order to compensate for the lack of pinna gain.

To me, IEMs are generally more resolving of fine details. As they deliver sound closer to the eardrum, there's less chance for reflections and resonances to disrupt the sound. They are also more consistent in sound, more forgiving of fit and positioning as the sound is projected more directly. I personally have found IEMs to isolate more noise than even the best fully-sealed over-ear headphones. This may contribute to the impression of greater detail retrieval as well.

Finally these are both available where I live and they both look nice, I’ll definitely keep an eye on them. Thanks

You should be able to buy from AliExpress like so many are doing in Europe. Shipping takes time but usually they declare a low value so that you don’t have to pay customs fees

You are right, but shipping is up to 6 weeks, and I’m too impatient for that considering that my previous headphones broke
Maybe keep an eye out for some used deals that are accessible to you?
