Can i use Dac Without Amp and Hear improvments in the sound?

hello. i have a new dac (schiit bifrost usb2 uber). my amp is not arrived yet. headphones plug into pc. if i iwll plug the Dac to pc and it will be as external sounds card it will improve the sound a little bit in songs or i have to wait for the amp to arrive?

I think you have to wait for the amp to arrive.
