Hi,

I'm using the Onkyo DP-X1 android DAP as a source, connected via a short USB OTG cable to a DAC/amp.

Given how short the cable is, it's a little annoying to change tracks, search for music, etc on the DAP while it's connected. My headphone cable is long and I don't always sit right next to the DAP.

I've yet to find longer OTG cables available to purchase. I was wondering whether there exists an app that lets me control the DAP via my phone?

I don't think you can do that from the Onkyo, but FiiO has what you're looking for as you can control some of their Android DAPs from the FiiO app on a phone. Also, you could just use something like the FiiO RM-1 remote to change tracks and volume via Bluetooth.

If you could install hiby music(i dont know if onkyo allows it) there is a feature called Hiby link that does that through bluetooth.
There is a thread here in head-fi about that
