Can I use a regular RCA cable as SPDIF cable?

RCA and SPDIF cable seems to have the same connectors.
Is it possible to use the cheaper RCA cable instead of the SPDIF cable?

yeah, cables with 75ohm impedance and normal RCA connection will do.
