Can I use a J505 for class A bias?

Yes, I have read http://tangentsoft.net/audio/opamp-bias.html and it was most helpfull and it even mentions the J500's which is the only thing I can find resembling a CRD available in NZ (from RS components).

Its part number is 283-479 and you can search for it here:
