Title says it all. I have a server set up in a corner and I would love to set it up to receive audio from my iMac and my iPhone. Is this possible? I did a bit of research but aside from something called SharePort (which I know little about) I can't find a good answer to my question.

Some info on shAirPort:

Seems easy enough to do.

Apparently xbmc supports it as well.  Something to look into, especially if your server is already set up as a media server.

Did you finally get and answer ?
My setup is similar. I use a Plex Server and stream to my media box (Amazon Fire TV running a Plex client)
I am looking to setup a mini HTPC, Intel NUC or the like and run Ubuntu (elementary os works great for me).
In doing so I want to be able to Airplay from my Iphone, Ipad or Mac Book pro as well.

Thanks for any information that you may have gathered.

Sorry meant to add that I am looking for a complete AirPlay solution meaning
Airplay Music through HDMI Port, Optical Port and also  Airplay Video and Photos..
I am able to do this on Amazon Fire TV with AirReceiver .. and want the same on a Ubuntu HTPC.
