I just got my 990 "edition" and had the 770 "Manufaktur" (black/silver instead of grey) for eight years.

Since I want to part with the 770 but don't like the grey on the 990, I was wondering if it's possible to swap the grey parts for black ones?
I know that the small ones fixing the clamp to the band and cans are easily swappable, but what about the big ring where the pad sits on?

I've also been thinking about painting the "grillz" in soft black, or a very dark metallic (black nickel for instance) ..
How can you remove those?

Got an answer..
You cannot swap the cans.. they also pointed out that this would change the sound properties of the headphones and should therefore not be done at all.

Maybe I'll find an airbrusher that will paint the parts for me
