I'm new to the forum and a fledgling audiophile.  I have an 80gig iPod Classic (6th Generation) that I wish to rockbox.  Does anyone know if it is possible to rockbox my particular ipod?

In the current state of affairs, no. However, it is in the works. Check the Rockbox website once in a while and they'll surely make it known when it's available/stable.
