I would only recommend pulling the wrap-around lid/front off, if you can do it. Again, everything I've seen says that the knob simply pulls off, but you're correct to make certain about that, if there are parts of the knob that are not visible. Even if there isn't a set screw, it will make it easier to pull the knob off, because with the other hand, you can hold on to the pot body, keeping it from breaking the solder connections with a hard pull.I disassembled the unit once to to retrieve the socket saver I dropped (oops) but I didn't think to look to see if there was a set screw holding the knob in place from inside, if that's even a thing. So I need to disassemble the unit and just make sure I'm not pulling too hard on the pot itself? Should I just remove the PCB altogether? Sorry for all the questions, I don't want to break anything.
