Title pretty much says it all. I feel the ear pads of the 650's are a bit too hard (maybe they just need to be used a bit). But is it possible to replace them with those of the HD555's (I think they are much more comfortable)?
 
For reference here are the ear pads of the 650's:

The biggest problem I can presently see would be the cover on the 555's ear pads. I have both the 555's and the 650's so I can just try it out, but I decided to ask here first before experimenting.
