hi peeps. i have ripped a bunch of stuff in flac without dithering over the years. now i'm beginning to understand why i should try it... but re ripping all my cds would be a pita. or even a chalupa.

So anyways. Is there a solution where i can convert my existing flac to now dithered flac.

Well i suppose i could make cd images with my flac files. Then mount them and re rip. Would that work?

thanks for listening

Dithering is only needed when you've made some modification to the audio data. The music would've been already dithered in the final stage of mastering, and since flac is lossless, there's no need to dither again.
