With what program? Using Tag & Rename, the answer is yes... I'm not sure what needs to be detected with the MP3's to identify them with a particular album, but it can be done.

Edit -- actually, Tag & Rename uses Freedb... could be the same thing tho.

using CDEX to check the CDDB. like, to check if a cd is from mp3s or not.

With my experience, unless the mp3s are really whacked out (i.e. altered maybe), the CDDB didn't see a difference when ripping the original cd and the mp3 version. I think there's a way to check if the cd is made of mp3s though, don't know now.
