can audnist hud-mx1 power a speaker?

You need a power amplifier for passive speakers. The Audinst only has a preamp out for running a signal to a power amp or running active speakers like Audioengines or M-Audios.

You need speaker posts for passives and either RCA or XLR preamp outs for actives. The Bottlehead only has RCA in for sound input and a !/4" TRS jack for headphones.

A lot of headphone amps have preamp outs, but very few have the integrated amplifiers with speaker posts. You'd generally have to move up several price categories and get something like a Peachtree Nova or Decco to get a headphone amp with an integrated amp.
