can anyone recommend creatives aurvana x-fi? im interested in a closed upgrade from hd555 in a seminear future, and i really like what i hear about the noise cancellation

EDIT: i usually listen to heavy metal, and play a fair bit. i found the hd555 to have a little too weak bass and depth

See reviews on Goldring NS1000, Audio Technica ATH ANC7, Phitek M10 and Phitek M14. They're all made by the same company (Phitek) and supposed to be very similar to the Creative Aurvana X-Fi (also made by Phitek, uses same noise cancellation electronics as the rest of them).

And you think these are better than aurvana x-fi?
Goldring NS1000 seem a little low price to be an upgrade to the HD555, but ofcourse, you cant judge gear on it's price.

No I think they're pretty much the same as Aurvana X-Fi. If it's much more expensive than the headphones I mentioned, it's overpriced.

Edit: Here you go: a review with both, as well as a number of other noise cancelling sets. I note they rate the NS1000s higher for sound quality than the Aurvana X-Fi:
