Hi, newbie here after some help if possible.
I purchased a pair of shure earphones approx 15 years ago (maybe more), anyway they have seen better days and have been used and abused on hot sweary hols for many years. They still sound superb but I just wanted to know if anyone recognises what model they are. I paid a readonable amount back then (cant recall actual).
Thx for any help

I believe those are fake Shure E4 , there were so many of those fakes on eBay and other sites when they were available !
To be sure, take off the rubber ear tips and see if they have slim, straight stems. Also you can unscrew the metal part and look inside. .

Hi, yes they do look like E4’s but must admit i thought i had, had them longer than that.
As for fakes im pretty sure they arent.

You are right, these looks genuine .
I have seen black, and white ones that were genuine .
These are the first grey ones I have seen that were not fakes .
The matte finish on the top are just varnish , which wears off over time ( mine did ).
They sound very nice from my Xin SuperMacro3 , which can add a bit bass with the switches .
Else they can be very "lean" in the bottom .
