i saw it 30 minutes later

in my experience it takes a couple minutes for the pulled off legs to stop moving...

I've seen these before, but only twice. Interestingly enough, only in my bedroom, which is a converted attic. Normally you'd expect them to be on the ground floor. They're probably after the silverfish that live in the walls in my room, or else the larder beetles whose larvae have damaged dozens of my books. In either case, I'm inclined to leave the centipedes be, since they offer a service. As long as they remain invisible, I'll pretend they're not there.
