I just picked up a 10K pot from ratshack, there are six pins on the back
and I have no idea what the pinout is.
Can anyone help me?

Usually ground - out - in with the shaft towards you. Use a multimeter to doublecheck.

You were right! Thanks for your help.

But sadly i have a new problem with my cmoy.
Everything is hooked up right because when i plug a cd player to the IN and headphones are pluged in to the OUT, sound goes through but when i add the 9volt there is no added volume/ base ect...
The volume control works and everything so whats the problem?

Without power, you shouln't hear anything. You probably have a short or two somewhere.

If you want, you can post some pics and we can take a look to notice if we see anything obvious.
