I've listened at length to the FiiO K9 PRO ESS and enjoyed it.

Reviews say the Schiit Jot2 is an excellent match for my Senn HD 800S.

Another review, of the Schiit Bifrost, says "so many new details exploded," compared to the reviewer's Oppo UDP 205, which I also own.

The Jot and Bifrost are smallish pieces, which I would need to fit my tiny desktop.

I stream with with Tidal or other hi-res sources. I usually listen to female vocals, piano and acoustic and pop music. I stream using my Thinkpad laptop.

What is your experience using these two sets of gear, please?

I'd post a comparison question between the Bifrost (which one?) and the K9 from a DAC standpoint. I have the Jot2 and it is excellent. I doubt the amp section in the K9 would compare, but I could be wrong.

Thanks for responding.
When I didn't hear from anyone, I decided to try the Jot 2 and Bifrost 2 myself.
As much as I enjoyed the K9 PRO ESS, I'll be sending it back and keeping the Schiit components.
