Can any of the current crop of dedicated media players bitstream audio in 44.1?

Hi, I would like to have a one-size-fits-all meda player that can play both local content and stream from the web.  On the video side, there appear to many viable options - Roku, WDTV, Popcorn, etc.  But, can any of these boxes also bitstream audio files, say from a NAS, at their original sampling rate, over a SPDIF connection?

If not, are their any audio-specific boxes that I can directly connect with SPDIF, preferably with a spiffy iOS/Android remote, that do not re-sample audio files?  Thanks...
