I had tapes belonging both to my dad and myself for the past 30-40 yrs laying around in the basement. Before using a head demagnetizer I, the cassettes played well and I didnt notice any problems during playback.
But after using the demagnetizer I sense that the tape speed has decreased & music sounds 'lazy'. The music sounds cleaner & clearer than ever. Can this happen after using one?
PS: I know its 2013 and virtually no one uses cassettes, but I have a few well recorded metal tapes and just wanted to revive some old-school habits!
Thanks
