Can my headphone amp xenos 3ha be used as a preamplifier?
Forgive me, I've been trying to figure this out and don't know preamps very well.

I want to buy the emotiva UPA-2 2X120 Watt amplifier and it requires a preamplifier (also has no volume control button). It needs 1.2 V to be driven to maximum power with an input impedance of 47k ohms. I've been looking at the Xenos website and they talk about the headphone amp being very powerful. It drives my 300 ohm HD600 great.
I see from the spec sheet that the Xenos has a nominal input impedance of 20 Kohms. and an output level of 6.7 VRMS +16.5 dBV on a 600 ohm load with a gain of 26 db.

I can't afford to buy both the UPA-2 and a pre-amplifier.

So is it possible to use the xenos to drive the UPA-2?

If not, I get my sound from a PC audigy 2zs sound card(i know, not very good), can that be used as a preamp?
