Im guessing they never expected to see that much initial interest and are sold out. I have decided to get one and maybe even a second one if i like the sound. One will be hooked up to the main home entertainment system and one to an older cd player/headphone amp in the bedroom.

People who've heard a similar one were pretty impressed at what it could do, and you can ask one of the professional DIY'ers for the price because there are variations between builds

Just when I had made up my mind on the DAC to buy...

This unit seems to be very good quality for money. It will actually be cheaper from our biggest Hi-Fi retailer here in Sweden than it is in the US. Must be the first time ever that happens.
