Hi guys,

Right now I'm looking for CD players up to $400 brand new and both of these players have lots of great reviews. Please let me know what you like and dislike about these two. I'm looking for CD with little warm sound and big soundstage.

Thanks.

I would not describe the sound signature of the 640C V2 as being warm. Its actually a little bright.

Thanks Httran.

Look like nobody on this site has experiences with Emotiva ERC-1. I did some research and there're some owners giving high rating on it. Probably I give it a shot.

And FWIW, I've also read about Cambridge Audio sounding bright.

You could easally fix that with a simple mod of resistors or caps in the analog stage.
