Hello folks,

I have a Calyx M DAP that seems to have a degraded battery. Anyone know of a reputable repair shop or place for parts? Thanx!

Given that Moon Audio has instructions on how to transfer music to the Calyx M on their site (link), I'm pretty sure they once sold them, and may be able to point you in the right direction.

Looks like Jaben sells an extended battery. Installation looks simple, no soldering or anything

If you don't want the extended battery maybe try contacting Jaben, they might know how to source the original battery

Dude! Thank you so much for finding that. The install slideshow is just what I needed to inspect the current battery, and you found the mysterious X-Batt that others have mentioned here. Again, many thanks.

I own an AK120, a Pono and the Calyx M. I love both the Pono and the Calyx M. Their neutrality and resolution are better than the 120, but the 120 does have a form factor advantage. The run time for a fully charged Calyx M is laughable, but the SQ makes up for that. I’m sure the current A&K offerings are on par or superior to those two reference mobile players, we’ll see…maybe I’ll explore that during my Fall write–up of the RMAF show.
