Hello!
I've purchased the WA7 Gen 2 about a 2 years ago and I was thinking of upgrading it with the WA7 TP. However, since the dawn of the WA7 Gen 3, I'm at a crossroads. Do turn in my 2nd gen for $700 towards the Gen 3 or do I upgrade with the TP (tube power supply). I've searched high and low across forums and have only come across a sentence or two that allude to a few things.
1. The WA7 TP upgrade "might" be better sound wise, i.e. instrumental separations, holographic imaging, etc. Hard to tell though because the descriptions weren't detailed.
2. Gen 3 saves desk space
3. Gen 3 is better if you get balanced cables
Other than this, I haven't found anything comprehensive. I'd love to hear the thoughts of those who have owned both generations. Much appreciated!
EDIT: I think this question also extends to anyone who has owned a Woo Audio amp and has upgraded within the same series. I imagine the differences between upgrades might be similar.
