I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I disliked Ghosts, never got AW (though I tried it during a Steam free weekend). AW felt too fast with people dashing all over the place. BO3 feels much better for me.

BO3 is the best COD in years IMO. And I am not the biggest fan of COD but they did do a good job this year, the story is pretty bad but multiplayer is much improved (it actually works fine this year). AW was terrible.

I play SnD in hardcore mode (only this mode ^^) on PC.

BO 3 is one of the real good CODs.
First I thought, omg another future jumping setting and what are they doing with my fantastic Blackops series.
But they did a lot just right.
I didn`t feel like a from console converted PC game. This feeling I had with AW (or Gh... bahh Gh... Ghosts).
It is as smooth as BO 1 and 2. It is fast, but no super rush gameplay.
For sure, if you are able to manage to use the wall running and your jetpack, you have more advantages, but you don`t need to use it exzessive. I have shot down many "birds" ^^.
Perks and weapons are very good and balanced (HC mode).
Just one thing is not so good.
When you start, you have to reach level 50 to get dead silence and without it, it is like walking on broken glass. Now it will be a hard start, because lots of people have more experience and are above level 50, but once you reached it, you will enjoy it and feel a huge relief, when you can use it.
So don`t think everywhere is a cheater, just sound-XXXXXX.

Enjoy it!

Yea, footsteps are crazy loud in this game, especially when using Awareness :p I think I use Awareness on all my classes along with either DS or Tact Mask, depending on the people I'm playing against.

+1 on the footstep loudness.. Awareness + my HD 598 I can just walk around and find people 7/10 times by their footsteps skittering around me lol! The gameplay is much better than AW, I don't know if I prefer the gunplay over Ghosts though.

I enjoyed BO3 in the very brief time that I played it, although I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone who isn't a big fan of the series (I'm not). I probably put a total of 20 hours into the multiplayer, and really have no urge to play anymore. The time-to-kill is frustratingly low to me, as I've always been more into the Halo-esque games than the Call of Duty games.

I've been playing Call of Duty since CoD3, mostly on PC, but with the last few games, been playing on Xbox 360/One. Advanced Warfare was probably the worst game ever made, so maybe my opinion of Black Ops 3 is skewed because I just wanted another decent CoD game... That said, I'm going to mirror what alv4426 and BigBadWulf said above, that this is one of the best Call of Duty games in many, many years.

If you haven't already picked it up, you definitely should.

BO3. Now with 100% more Destiny powers.

Give me back classic CoD, then we'll talk. CoD4, BO1. None of this super power, boost jumping BS. BO3 is just as ass as BO2 and AW were.

CoD has been dead to me for years. I did buy and play Ghosts enough, but that was the last time I truly sunk in and cared (and even that was meh). I played the latter stuff in chunks, and hated them enough to swear off CoD until it goes back to being CoD.

I sincerely hope they release a Modern Warfare collection just so I can play CoD4 again, and just that. MW2 was the start of Killstreak Warfare, and where the games started to sink themselves.

I probably played BO1 the most, because I was utterly dominant with my setups, but it was borderline unfriendly. If I can call dogs twice in one TDM match, there is balancing issues.

It's probably the best COD in recent years and it has a hefty amount of content. The multiplayer however has some of the most ridiculous ways to die in a COD game I have ever seen.

One of the specialists for example has a flamethrower ability he can use multiple times a match just by waiting, you can die and the progress towards unlocking its use won't reset. The flamethrower has a range that can cross the span of entire rooms and he needs to get 1 (one) hitmarker on you with it for a millisecond before you are dead. Stuff like this is abundant in the game and makes it frustrating when you are doing well but worse players get rewarded.

Stuff like that plus absolutely awful "skill-based matchmaking" that imbalancies multiplayer lobbies in the favor of new players and pretty awful optimization made me stop playing it after 70 hours, but I feel like I still got my moneys worth.

I agree with you 100% here and still hate the kill streak ******** they've got in current games. Also, I miss the classic run and gun too, hated AW because it was basically a giant circus of flying trapeze artists with guns.

I still enjoy the game though despite all this, maybe mostly because I want an FPS game to play, I don't know...
