Caffeine addicts anonymous

I have been on coffee since age 12. I guess it gradually became an addiction. Every morning I had to start my day with coffee. To continue my afternoon, I would have one and in the evening another. On days that I used to study late, till university, I took a cuppa at midnight to keep me going till 2 to 3am. And then I would call it quits and hit the sack like a bugger till the next morning. The routine continued till I started having a spur of what I would call panic attacks. My dad came to know of this and decided to trick me one day by making my usual morning coffee but with DECAF!!!! I actually continued almost every morning for a month before realizing it was decaf. Thanks to my dad, i would say his trick worked on me. I actually now stick to decaf every morning and have 1 tea late in the afternoon. That's how I, or rather my dad helped me cope with caffeine addiction. No panic attack bouts so far. Doing pretty good, though certain mornings I would really feel I could do with some caffeine boost. But I jolly well steer clear of it....

I don’t drink coffee that often but when I do, I tend to be a purist and drink coffee the way how they do it in Italy which is high quality espresso shots or other Italian variations. But sometimes I will break the rules and drink coffee like the rest of the world.
