Just got a new Note 7 and was wondering if anybody knew where i could find a usb type c to MINI usb cable. I need a short one, 3-4" to use wiht the Note 7 and DAC.

Monoprice sells a 1.5ft usb c to usb mini b. If you're handy with soldering you could cut it and make the cable whatever length you want. It wouldn't hurt to email monoprice and ask if they can make the cable custom if you don't want to do it yourself.

I wouldn't cut the cable then splice the ends together to get the right length. You'd be breaking the shielding, effectively turning it into an antenna.
 
If you were going to do it, you'd need to cut it and reterminate the end with a new connector. With the shield properly grounded.
