I'm looking into possible upgrades. Sound improvement through insanely pure copper is not something I believe in. On the other hand, I don't NOT believe either. I have no experience with high-grade cable.

So, I'm willing to experiment and see for myself.

This is one cable I'm considering. What are your thoughts? Any recommendations?

Personally, this cable maker below is who I recommend to others. I've used these cables on many IEMs including some rather expensive hybrids. Each time I've been overly happy with the results as are the people I recommend them to.

(see what else this seller has for your IEM)

Just be aware the cables can be a little less flexbile than others.

Here's an example photo of this sellers silver plated copper cable on my old Rhapsodio RDB Mini. (was about $45 USD)

Does yours have silver plating, or is that just the shielding?

Oops. Nevermind. Missed that you said it was.

How comfortable is the one you linked to? It looks pretty awkward and unwieldy.

After checking it seems the current options he has for IM03 are limited. Having not tried that actual cable, I cannot say.

If you can contact them via eBay msg - ask if this cable can be built for IM03 (which they can possibly do) I'd recommend that.

Worth a msg. (that's the same cable I used in the photo)

That one isn't even OCC.

My LunaShop cable came in a few days ago. Took 40 days to get here! It's about the same, material-wise, as that last one you linked. But it looks quite different.

This cable I asked about in the OP, looks like it might be more comfortable, certainly better materials, and possibly less awkward than that 7n OCC you suggested.

My concern is that the cables from tygamehk09 are of such a loose weave, they must be quite difficult to manage. The ones from LunaShop and hifiacoustic1 are a nice tight weave. Unfortunately, no one at Head-fi seems to have done any business with hifiacoustic1. And LunaShop doesn't make a 7N or 8N cable for the ATH-IM series.

So I've contacted tygamehk09, asking if he's interested in making a cable more like the sort I want. Though, something tells me, if he were capable of making the tight weave, he would be doing so already. We'll see.

Yes. Without getting my hands on them it's difficult to know what will suit my needs best.
