I am familiar with RF systems, well, many years ago any. But not with CABLE TV lines.
What is the latest and greatest method to clean the cable contacts (standard coax connectors and a barrel connector in a room in my condo complex) and weatherproof them? I just don't want to use any contact cleaner, and I do not trust the cable people (that's a long story). I use a cable ready tv in one room (TIVO) and digital cable box in another. Both have very noisy channels above channel 23. I do suspect its the cable company.
But want to clean my connections anyway.
