Hi everyone,

I've recently bought a pair of AKG K450's and I didn't like the plug on the cable so I bought an angled plug. after cutting of the original plug from a spare cable (it's detachable) and noticed the left and right cables are coated with paint and thought it wouldn't work so cut of the cable completely, the only thing is I'm not sure how to deassemble the plug that goes into the headphones so could anyone give me some help?

I will add some pictures just as soon as I'm able to.

I used a double speaker cable for left & right and twisted another cable around for ground. Then soldered an angles plug onto it and it works. This was all for testing purposes, in a couple of months I will buy a higher grade cable and a better plug to improve the quality.
Or should I leave it at regular speaker cable and silver plated plug?
