I damaged the plug on my HD228s which I got in October and I don't have the box or receipt so I don't think Sennheiser will fix it under warranty (I've called many times but I never get an answer).

I've been looking for sennheiser cables but they all have two ends not one, is there an easy way to replace the plug or cable?

Meh, this is a very common problem with me. the jack/cable on my HD228 always fails every 1-2 months. Though I do get the free servicing (5 times to this day) from my local Senn service center under warranty. Not so sure of where to get a replacement for Senn cables.

In my country, you can still send a damaged headphone and they'll service it for a fee though.

When you say plug, do you mean the 3.5mm plug? If that is the case, then just snip the cable right above the plug. Then spend 5 minutes with a soldering iron and a $3 neutrik replacement.

If it's something else, could you please specify. Or maybe I just misread (it's late at night here).

note: I REALLY miss BBCode. Smileys were just so much simpler back then...
