Hi guys,
 
I have a pair of AKG q701's and I listen 'em through a Fiio E7. I'm also planning to buy a good Hifi 24bits DAP that drives properly my headphones (something like Hifiman hm601 or Colorfly c4). Is important that i use a good jack cable between the DAP and the AMP? and is there a better solution like USB?

If I'm not mistaken the C4 DAP should work with the Q701's without an external amp. If you want to continue using the Fiio with either player you'll need a 1/4" to 1/8" male*male adapter for the C4, and a 1/8" to 1/8" male*male adapter.

The Colorfly C4 does not have line-out(, although its 1/4" jack output is claimed to be able to serve as line-out with volume turned to maximum). Therefore, it is not recommended to connect the C4 to another amp. I think the built-in amp of C4 is powerful enough to drive the Q701.
