Might be a long shot, but does anyone know of a similar small form amp with the basic feature set of the BH in a price range like it offered, or was that just lightning in a bottle at the time? I've been running mine since grabbing it from a rec here just shy of 7 years ago. I run it off to the weak line-in in my car audio in low-gain. The magic switches are better quick EQ than anything else. Even the battery still lasts for hours after all these years but as such I'm starting to worry.
Haven't seen much of anything comparable, e.g. in that price range, bass-boost & sound-field switches, hi-low gain switch, dual outputs, nice vol. knob, relatively small and powerful, battery for days...
Maybe I've missed something. (I've had/have some other DAC/AMP combos, but none tick *all* those boxes.)
(Edit: just to be clear, don't need a DAC adding to cost. That's covered, just want portable small power options in addition. C&C is brilliant for what it is. Wish they were still around.)
