To echo others, it might be good to listen to several brands and get a better impression of their presentation. My own preferences lean towards Senns for classical, jazz, and accoustic, and Grados for something more upfront. blessingx's original suggestion of the HD580 and SR225 seems like a great idea.

I would definitely wait untill you went to the meet to be able to try several headphones before buying something you might not like.

I can also recommend you try it with the TBH you own. It sure is fun to test something with a $3000 amp, but it will sound a lot different on your rig most likely.
