Uh, yes actually, which is why I was stating that VWs are problematic vehicles, and I probably won't buy a (newer) one.

I do love sciroccos, and am lusting after one heavily. I'll probably get one in a few years.

Don't worry about it... hondas are nice vehicles that last a long time, and over a period of time, have the highest resale value.

I am probably getting 2006 Passat myself in the very near future. If it is as fun as 2004 A4 1.8T that I have been driving this weekend, it should be a sweeeet ride. But as others said, Honda would be more reliable, but German cars are fun

We just got a new passat for around 18k. The brakes are definitely touchy. Personally I would go with the 06, for looks but thats just me
