Hi, I'm selling my unused copy of World of Warcraft on e-bay. Within 2 hours I received a dozen e-mails from buyers who want me to send just the CD-key over e-mail. Is this a scam?

Seeing as it's pretty hard to prove that you transferred a CD key, I would advocate keeping it on eBay. If you transfer it via eBay PM it's proof that you sent it.

In the WoW ToC, separating the key (and adjoining account) and the discs that go with it is illegal (as far as selling goes).

You need to keep them together.

Anyone that downloads the game needs only pay a $40 activation fee online and they are a full registered player. Buying a CD key off someone else is only a way to get that cheaper.

You are fine to sell the key, account and the discs, but they have to go to the same person in order to protect yourself should a lawsuit happen.
