I have seen quite a few people using Gustards especially X26P and R26 with their GT, Do you experience any problems with their 5V output voltage from XLR out?
I use an R26 and never had an issue although in my set up it connects to a tube amp and not the GT. I have tried pairing R26 and GT before and I did not encounter issues though.I have seen quite a few people using Gustards especially X26P and R26 with their GT, Do you experience any problems with their 5V output voltage from XLR out?
Thanks. That's reassuring.I use an R26 and never had an issue although in my set up it connects to a tube amp and not the GT. I have tried pairing R26 and GT before and I did not encounter issues though.
I did however use Chord TT2 for a long time with the GT with no issues, and I understand that the XLR output from TT2 is much hotter than R26.
My Violectric DAC V800 has 4.5V as a factory setting which represents "+15 dBu". I run it on +18 dBu which is higher than 4.5V.Guys, how much input voltage from DAC can GT withstand?
GT works quite normally with a voltage of 2.4 volts for RCA and 5.8 volts for XLR from Holo May. No problem at all.Guys, how much input voltage from DAC can GT withstand?
These are shipping ties used to secure the op amps to the board during shipping. Feel free to safely cut them and have fun rolling! There are what looks like tie wraps running vertically around my op amps. Does that mean that the op amps aren't supposed to be changed or that the tie wraps need to be cut?

Have you tried the included?Bought a spare Noctua fan while they are still availble on the market (just in case...).
We are under sanctions and nobody knows what can be available in the future.
Not yet.Have you tried the included?
Low-Noise Adaptor
The NF-A12x15 PWM is supplied with a (L.N.A.) that reduces the maximum fan speed from 1850 to 1400rpm. The L.N.A. can be used either to run the fan at a fixed speed of 1400rpm or to cap the maximum speed when using automatic PWM control.
I tried it shortly and it makes significant difference, don't know if it is a issue longterm? it still coolsnot
I connected it (I have my share of boxes of noctua fan's, for my storage and pc's) So I had a few of those low-noise adapters laying around. They come with every box of noctua fan you order. Not yet.
So, you could significantly reduce the noise level, right?
Well, with the heatsinks, I guess, the size of the amplifier will be increased significantly to have the same level of power output...This beast generates a lot of heat.I do think do, they should have used big headsinks or something like that, instead of fans (not hard to replace, but still)
Yes those are the one, at least they seem to be. (The one’s I have were normally joined in the box together with noctua fan) . This package seem seperately soldSo is this the adapter?

I noticed it got hot yes. It would be a bigger amp for sure if heatsinks would be used (but at least no fan or noise then).Well, with the heatsinks, I guess, the size of the amplifier will be increased significantly to have the same level of power output...This beast generates a lot of heat.
