Hi, indeed, Fusion Core already has a couple of EMI/RFI filtering, so it may not need additional filtering unless you have a really crappy AC main at your home. You can also use a hair dryer (that has diodes inside) and if you hear noises coming from your speakers or headphones then maybe a power conditioner might help, but otherwise I wouldn't advise purchasing a conditioner just to plug the Fusion Core in.

Serializing multiple power conditioners should not do anything bad to harm your sound. If you do have a V5 Elektra already purchased then feel free to connect all of your devices there, as long as the total power consumed is below the nominal power advertised on the V5 Elektra specs.

I have the Fusion Core since two weeks on my Soloist Voyager. And it's mind-blowing. No Joke. It was first delivered with the Super Charger Deluxe packaging. The Step Up from the supercharger to the Fusion core is as big as from the Soloist Voyager itself (with the supercharger) to my precious amp the Topping A90D.
So it's a pricy option but still worth every penny. I use the Fusion core with the Isotek Evo 3 Ethernal Powercord. So maybe here's more potential with a better power cord.

I agree. Everyone who tested the FC is saying that ✌ I upgraded my already fully upgraded 3X GT few weeks ago. It was a really good decision
But that is the reason why I am confused that the new FC is still available in the classification section.

For me it's good enough, it has the right gauge and it's sturdy enough, I see no real reasons for upgrading it...yet. Not sure about the brand, I'll probably try to check in the morning, but what I care most is to be cooper and the right thickness, besides a very good cover/coating.

I was wondering the same thing. If the Fusion Core is truly cleaning up the sound entirely, wouldn't there be no sound change from improving power components upstream?

I've been humbled in this hobby time and time again, so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm just missing some simple explanation where a cable would matter in this case.

Same reason people upgrade the cord on their headphones. Sure the wire that comes with them are "good enough" but if you can elevate the sound and extract more performance who wouldn't want to. Now I will say that power cords have even more skeptics. I have upgraded all my headphone cables (Susvara, Utopia & Sennheiser) to Audio Envy. I saw someone mention them in a forum and went to their website and really enjoyed reading how Captain (the owner and a musician) came to create his company and his approach is different than all the other big name wire companies. They offer a money back guarantee and their prices are not stupid expensive. I figured why not? Once I plugged in with the new cable I was hooked. It's not a subtle difference. It's a WoW difference. Fast forward to me getting the GT4/Fusion. I had it for months and never thought anything about the power cord. I did upgrade my wall outlet to a hospital grade plug (cost $15) and it noticeably improved the sound. I was excited that Fusion sounded even better. That got me thinking. If their headphone cables make a difference why not try the power cord. Once again I got another meaningful upgrade to the sound. Bass has more weight and is punchy and super detailed. Mids, treble and depth are even more controlled and balanced for maximum detail all coming from a super quiet backdrop. If you are happy no need to chase anything. But for a relatively small price you can extract even more performance. Funny I was listening to my GT4/Fusion with a big smile when I saw this update/question on the thread. Thought I'd add my experience. Still loving my GT4/Fusion!

In regular 2-channel hi-fi,.the perception is that power cables are often the most important cable in a music-system.

Alex at Burson has recommended that I should try different power cables for my Fusion Core.
For many years now,.I have understood what good power cables mean for the synergy in a music-system.

If you choose to terminate a power cable yourself,.it will be a little cheaper than buying ready-made ones.
Just keep in mind that different connectors sound different,.I personally prefer rhodium in my connectors for my power cables.

I'm actually currently evaluating different power cables for my Fusion Core,.which powers my Burson Conductor 3X GT with V7 Vivid, which is currently only used as a DAC for my Voyager.

Below in three pictures,.some of the power cables that I am currently evaluating for my Fusion Core.
I can say right now,.that there is no problem hearing musical differences between the cables in the two pictures.

The first picture:
- Puritan Ultimate powercable,.their best, the black one on the left.
- Vertere HB (Hand Built),.their second best, the middle one on the picture.
- Neotech's Grand,.their third best, on the right in the picture.

The second picture:
- Jorma Design Duality powercable with Furutech's best rhodium contacts on the left.
- Jorma Design Duality powercable with Oyaide's best rhodium contacts on the right.

All in all these are incredibly good powercable's,.now it's up to me to find the one that creates the best synergy together with my Fusion Core/DAC.

It can be said that so far Vertere HB is a favorite,.unfortunately it is quite expensive.

In my evaluation of these power cables,.I use Puritan's PS-108 power strip which is star-grounded (see the last picture).

As someone who owns all the amps listed in your signature, I can say it's a big yes. After adding the Fusion Core to my Voyager a few months ago, I almost haven't touched any other amps. And when I do for the sake of comparison, I just end up going back to the Voyager + Fusion Core. It's a huge improvement over the Supercharger in terms of sub-bass presence and overall linearity.

With Fusion Core, my Timekeepers are now delivering 300 Watts per channel instead of 200 Watts they used to deliver with the standard SuperCharger, besides the cleaner sound, punchier bass and faster transients. So, YES, it worth it for sure!
