I have a noob question. I used to connect to my Burson C3XR using a MacBook Pro via USB. In an effort to downsize the source, I recently bought a WiiM and am now connecting to the Burson via optical. I just want to know if by using a WiiM with spdif, am I using the DAC from the WiiM or the DAC from the Burson. Output to headphones. Thoughts?

Got it working fine with output to headphones. Unfortunately, while reorganizing my room, I blew up my powered speakers when I accidentally connected the XLR cables to the DAC out on the Burson instead of the pre-out. Totally blows but I was looking for an excuse to buy some Polk R200 anyway.
